The Only Economy That Matters
Why presence — not worry — is the only true currency in times of chaos.
I’ve been noticing a pattern lately.
Almost every message, every note I’ve posted, every clarity call I’ve sat in — people tell me the same thing:
"This landed at exactly the moment I needed it."
It reminds me how easy it is to forget what matters in this world of noise.
Everywhere we turn right now — news, social media, even in the “healing” space — the energy is frantic. The call to action is always more, faster, louder.
But the real call to action — the one that matters — is simple:
CTA: Take care of yourself and all of your relations.
That word relations isn’t about awkward family get-togethers or obligatory check-ins.
It’s deeper.
It’s a relationship with the earth you walk on.
With the sun that greets you each morning.
With the moon that watches your dreams.
With the fire that warms you, the water that cleanses you, the wind that reminds you to breathe. Your relationship with humanity…your heart.
"Take care of that," as my brother Jandamarra Cadd, a Yorta Yorta man, says of the dirt beneath our feet.
What does it mean?
In a time of deep illusion — when we can’t tell what’s real and what’s generated, when AI spins realities faster than our minds can process — the only way through is relationship.
Relationship with what is real.
The Lakota remind us: Aho Mitakuye Oyasin — for all my relations.
Above us.
Below us.
Around us.
Within us.
When was the last time worrying about something — truly worrying — gave you a tangible result?
It doesn’t…..
Worry pulls us out of relationship.
Presence restores it.
When we come back to the earth, when we feel the breeze, when we acknowledge the sun, the moon, the water, the fire — we come back to ourselves.
And in that space of right relationship, the noise dissolves.
How does this apply to you?
Right now, many of us are being pulled toward chaos — globally and personally.
Systems thrive on confusion.
But your nervous system, your spirit, your ancestral memory — they thrive on presence.
So here is a simple invitation:
Pause.
Place your bare feet on the earth.
Breathe.
Offer your presence to your relations — the sun, the dirt, the water, the fire.
Trust that in doing so, clarity will arise. The answers you are seeking will come through this relationship — not through chasing or worrying.
This is the economy that matters: The economy of all our relations.
It is one that runs on presence, gratitude, and trust — not fear.
I send this word out today because sometimes we need reminding.
Sometimes we need a voice that says:
"It’s okay to come back to centre. It’s okay to slow down. The earth is still here. The fire is still here. You are still here."
If this lands for you right now, let me know in the comments — may it serve as that reminder.
With respect,
Bobby
