1. Grounding - Massaging the Earth
Take your shoes off.
Stand barefoot on the Earth.
This is not romantic—it’s biological. Grounding (also called earthing) allows your body to discharge built-up static energy and absorb the Earth’s subtle electrical charge.
It calms the nervous system, reduces inflammation, and brings you back to presence.
The ancestors didn’t need to “ground”—they were never disconnected.
We do.
Try this: Stand barefoot on grass, soil, or sand for 10 minutes. No phone. Just feel. Ideally receiving morning sunlight.
2. Sleep Real Rest, Not Just Time in Bed
Stop the scroll! Sleep is the integration space.
It’s where the nervous system regenerates. Where emotional and spiritual processing happens. Where medicine journeys continue in the dreamworld.
But most people are so overstimulated, sleep is shallow and broken.
True rest is medicine.
Try this: No screens for 1 hour before bed. Make the last hour of your day sacred. Journal, stretch, be still.
3. Sunlight
Sunlight is life.
It regulates your hormones. It strengthens your immune system. It lifts your mood. It powers your mitochondria.
Indigenous cultures around the world honoured the sun as a being—not a utility.
We need to return to that reverence.
Try this: Get 10-15 minutes of direct sun exposure on your face and skin each morning. Greet the sun with reverence and respect.
4. Water - Water is Life
Water holds memory.
It’s the first medicine.
It is a spiritual technology.
Yet many are chronically dehydrated, drinking plastic-bottled water with micro plastics disconnected from source.
Reconnecting to water is a spiritual practice. Find your closest water spring take glass bottles to collect. Make sure you have a good filter and you can verify that the spring is clean and not contaminated. Always leave an offering!
Try this: Grab a glass of water first thing in the morning. Hold it close to your chest. Talk to it. Give thanks to the water for sustaining all life. Envision all the waters of the world clean and transparent—then envision your life just the same. Program your water. Program your day.
5. Nature - Our Natural Environment
You don’t need a jungle. A park will do.
Just go where the wild things are. In Australia the Original peoples say you need to “Connect to Country”.
Nature doesn’t just heal you—she reminds you.
Of rhythm. Of simplicity. Of being part of something bigger.
Try this: Sit under a tree. Say nothing. Ask for nothing. Just listen. Be still. Listen to your body. Listen to nature—she will tell you more than all the Instagram influencers put together.

We keep searching for healing out there.
But the truth is—it’s already here.
The Earth gives us these medicines freely, daily. Our ancestors lived in harmony we need to honour them and learn from them. Don’t forget to pass it on to the future generations!
